学院始建于1954年，1995年创办旅游系，1998年经重庆市教委批准成立重庆旅游学院。2004年分别成立地理科学学院和旅游学院，2010年合并为太阳集团tcy8722入口，2021年批准立项重庆市普通本科高校示范性现代产业学院——现代智慧旅游产业学院。

学院现设地理科学、地理信息科学、旅游管理（含对口高职）、酒店管理、航空服务艺术与管理等本科专业，全日制在校本科生2061人。地理科学专业是国家级一流本科专业建设点、重庆市高校“三特行动计划”特色专业。旅游管理专业是国家级一流本科专业建设点、国家级特色专业。学院是重庆市应用型整体转型学院，建有重庆市应用型地理科学与旅游管理专业群。学院拥有地理学和旅游管理2个学术型硕士点，旅游管理、学科教学（地理）、职业技术教育（旅游服务）、资源与环境4个专业型硕士点，在校研究生627人，是西南地区地理和旅游类人才培养重要基地。

学院建有2个重庆市重点实验室、1个重庆市高校重点实验室、1个重庆市2011协同创新中心、1个重庆市野外科学观测研究站和1个重庆市级实验教学示范中心。建有国家地球系统科学数据中心西南山地分中心、中国旅游研究院长江旅游研究基地等。拥有1个重庆英才·创新创业示范团队、2个重庆市高校创新团队、1个重庆市高校哲学社会科学协同创新团队、1个重庆市研究生导师团队，主办《地理教育》期刊。

学院现有教职工109人，其中专任教师91人，正高职称26人，副高职称35人，博士68人。目前，拥有新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选1人、国家高层次人才特殊支持计划青年拔尖人才1人、享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家1人，教育部新世纪优秀人才1人、重庆英才4人、省部级杰出青年基金项目获得者2人、重庆市学术技术带头人及后备人选13人、巴渝学者5人和重庆市高校中青年骨干教师6人。

学院重视学科建设，建有地理学、旅游管理2个重庆市“十四五”重点学科和智慧生态旅游重庆市人工智能+学科群。长期围绕三峡库区和重庆市资源环境与生态建设、旅游发展与经营管理、城乡人居环境与区域发展开展科学研究和社会服务，取得了丰硕的学术成果和良好的社会效益。打造了“地苑讲坛”“智汇文旅创新发展论坛”等特色学术交流品牌。“十三五”以来，承担国家自然科学基金、国家社会科学基金、国家科技基础性专项等51项，重庆市杰出青年基金、教育部人文社科项目等省部级项目229项。获得省部级以上科研奖励23项，获得发明专利26项。出版专著29部，发表论文1250余篇，其中SCI/SSCI收录315余篇。

学院注重提升人才培养质量，第二课堂活动丰富多彩，持续开展“微课堂”“教授开讲啦”特色活动。近三年，我院学生在“中国高校地理科学展示大赛”“全国高校地理师范生教学技能大赛”“全国高等学校民航服务技能大赛”“全国大学生GIS应用技能大赛”“挑战杯”等赛事中获国家级奖项年均160余人次，省部级奖项年均120余人次。在大学生创新创业训练计划中获得国家级立项20余项。打造出重庆师范大学“地旅蓝”社会实践品牌，暑期“三下乡”项目被重庆日报等主流媒体深度报道。

学院拥有实验教学和科研场地1.2万平方米，拥有电感耦合等离子体发射光谱仪、流动注射分析仪、气相色谱仪、原子荧光光谱仪、原子吸收光谱仪、离子色谱仪、光谱辐射仪、TOC分析仪等仪器设备200余套，总价值2800余万元。

学院秉承“海纳百川、志存高远、励精笃行、求实创新”院训精神，坚持以人才培养为中心，学科建设为龙头，科学研究为重点，社会服务为导向，正努力朝着西部一流的综合性应用研究型学院目标迈进。

Brief Introduction to the School of Geography and Tourism, Chongqing Normal University

Founded in 1954, the School of Geography and Tourism of Chongqing Normal University, mainly fostered undergraduates and junior college students of Geographical Sciences. The major of Tourism Management was developed based on Geographical Sciences in 1995 andthe College of Chongqing Tourism was approvedby the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission in 1998. In 2004, it was divided into School of Geographical Sciences and School of Tourism, which were merged into our current school in 2010. The school was granted for the establishment of College of Modern Intelligent Tourism Industry in 2021, as a demonstrative Modern IndustrialCollege for ordinary undergraduate universitiesin Chongqing.

The school has six undergraduate majors of Geographical Science, Geographic Information Science, Tourism Management (higher vocational education included),Hospitality Management,Urban and Rural Planning, as well asAviation Service Art and Management, with more than 2000 full-time undergraduates currently registered. The Geographical Science and Tourism Management are national first-class undergraduate construction majors. The Geographical Science is a municipal distinctive majorin Chongqing and the Tourism Management is a national one.

The school has been identified as anApplication TransformationCollegeand granted for theDistinctiveMajorClusterofApplied GeographicalScience and Tourism Managementin Chongqing. The school is entitled to authorize academic master's degrees in Geography and Tourism Management, and professional master's degrees in Tourism Management, Geography Teaching, Vocational and Technical Education for Tourism Service, as well as Resources and Environment, with over 620 graduate students.

The school hasseveral municipal laboratories and centers, including two key laboratories, one university-affiliated key laboratory, one2011Collaborative Innovation Center, one field scientific observation station, and one experimental teaching demonstration center, owns national research platforms such as the Southwest Mountain Branch of the National Earth System Science Data Center, the Yangtze River Tourism Research Base of the Chinese Academy of Tourism, and possesses four municipal research teams including oneInnovationand Entrepreneurship Demonstration TeamofChongqing Talents, two university innovation teams, and one collaborative innovation team in philosophy and social sciences. Additionally, it hosts the national outstanding journalGeography Education.

The school has 109 staff, with 91 full-time teachers including 26 professors, 35 associate professors, and 68 with doctoral degrees. There are two national talents (e.g., the National New CenturyTalents Project) and 22 provincial talents (e.g., Chongqing Talents).

The school has always attached importance to discipline construction. The Geography and Tourism Management are key disciplines during the "14th Five Years Plan" period in Chongqing. The school has established the discipline cluster ofSmartEco-tourism Artificial Intelligence+in Chongqing. The school has long been focused on scientific research and social services of resource, environment and ecological construction, tourism development and management, urban and rural residential environment and land usein the Three Gorges Reservoir Area and inChongqing, and has obtained significant academic achievements and social benefits.

Since 2014, the school has undertaken 51national scientific research projects (e.g., the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation) and 229 provincial and ministerial projects (e.g., the Chongqing Outstanding Youth Fund and the Humanities and Social Sciences Program of the Ministry of Education). It has 23 scientific research awards at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, and 26 invention and utility model patents. The staff of the school have published 29 monographs and over 1250 scientificpapers, 315 of which are in SCI/SSCI-indexed journals.

The schoolcovers12,000 square metersfor experimental teaching and scientific research.It has more than 200 scientific research equipments, including three-dimensional laser scanners, inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometers, flow injection analyzers, gas chromatography, atomic fluorescence spectrometers, atomic absorption spectrometers, ion chromatographs, spectral radiometers, TOC analyzers, fully automatic Kjeldahl nitrogen determiners, astrographs,etc.
